Position overview

The Intern Lead serves as the primary liaison between interns and supervising staff — promoting engagement, gathering feedback, and supporting team success while upholding FCAP’s culture. Responsibilities may be adapted based on organizational needs and priorities.

Typically 2 gap-year interns (ideally those living above the farm gym) and maybe 1 other gap-year or undergraduate intern. Tasks are given by leadership to a specific intern to ensure even workload distribution.

Compensation: $250–300 monthly stipend. Hours vary, typically 1–8 hours/week.

Key responsibilities

  • Serve as the main point of contact between interns and supervisors
  • Collect and communicate feedback, updates, and concerns from interns
  • Help create weekly staff meeting agendas and coordinate note-taking
  • Recruit intern volunteers for FCAP events
  • Oversee committees (Alumni, Social Media and Marketing, Fundraising/Pickleball Tournament)
  • Pair newer interns with experienced mentors as needed
  • Foster team cohesion and accountability; track intern progress on shared projects
  • Organize meetings, socials, and debriefs; plan activity fairs and delegate event staffing
  • Support onboarding: facilitate communication, collect paperwork, coordinate clinical placements
  • Monitor intern eligibility for raises

Minimum requirements

  • Minimum 1 year in the FCAP program
  • Demonstrated commitment to FCAP’s core values and culture
  • Proven effective communication skills
  • Strong time, task, and people management abilities
  • Professional, collaborative attitude
  • Initiative and leadership mindset

  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all communications
  • Attend regular check-ins with supervisors as scheduled
  • Provide 2 weeks’ notice if unable to continue in the role
