Merch Committee
Position overview
Members of the FCAP Merch Committee facilitate and manage access to FCAP merchandise and apparel by FCAP staff, clients, and community supporters. Capped at 2–4 current student interns.
Compensation: The FCAP leadership team considers significant involvement in committee(s) during bi-annual intern reviews and when determining compensation changes. Additionally, committee hours can be clocked as PD time up to 2 hours per week — reach out to leadership if more time is needed.
Key responsibilities
- Work with vendor reps to design FCAP merchandise and apparel (t-shirts, sweaters, polos, quarter-zips, vests, etc.) based on leadership, intern, and client feedback
- Communicate design, cost, and all relevant details to FCAP leadership for review and approval before order completion
- Create and manage a permanent online storefront featuring a curated selection of FCAP merch/apparel
- Lead timely, professional communication with vendor partners and leadership to coordinate smooth delivery
- Collaborate with the Fundraising Committee and vendors to design and order Good Deed Jon Fried Pickleball Tournament shirts
- Maintain and organize merch resources (vendor contacts, design files, storefront info, historical records) for future members
- At least 3 months before the End Date, recruit a qualified, interested replacement member(s)
- Train and transition incoming member(s) at least 1 month before the End Date
Minimum requirements
- Minimum 1 year in the FCAP program
- Demonstrated commitment to FCAP’s core values and culture
- Concise, timely, professional verbal and written communication (vendors, leadership, supporters)
- Strong time, task, and people management abilities
- Collaborative attitude
- Preferred: interest in design and basic computer competency to manage the online storefront

- Recruit and train a replacement before my End Date
End date: Set with leadership at the start of your term; recruit a replacement at least 3 months prior.
