Social Chairs
Position overview
The Social Chairs plan and coordinate FCAP’s social calendar — building community and connection among interns and staff across both clinics. They organize team bonding, celebrations, and get-togethers that keep FCAP’s culture warm, inclusive, and fun.
Compensation: The FCAP leadership team considers significant involvement in committee(s) during bi-annual intern reviews and when determining compensation changes. Additionally, committee hours can be clocked as PD time up to 2 hours per week — reach out to leadership if more time is needed.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and run regular intern socials, team bonding activities, and seasonal celebrations
- Coordinate logistics — dates, locations, sign-ups, and reminders — around the clinic schedule
- Welcome new interns and help them feel connected to the team
- Partner with other committees (e.g., Alumni, Fundraiser) on shared events
- Gather input from the team on what kinds of events they’d like
- Keep an eye on inclusivity and accessibility so everyone can take part

- Maintain professional and timely communication with leadership and committee members
- Plan events that are welcoming and inclusive of the whole team
- Assist in identifying and training a successor before graduating or leaving the program
